Choir Workshop – You are invited to a weekend choir workshop at St. Joseph Church, 140 West Avenue, Plain City. The workshop will teach you everything you need to know to effectively sing in a choir and is being conducted by Dr. Raymond Wise, Ph.D. Dr. Wise will cover such topics as sight singing, breath control, cantor training, dynamics, and choral singing. The workshop is taking place on Friday, September 22, 6-8 p.m., Saturday, September 23, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and concluding on Sunday, September 24 with a 6 p.m. concert. Registration is $30 a person. Adult Education Officiating Classes – Classes for the officiating of football, volleyball and soccer will be held at St. Mary Magdalene School, 2940 Parkside Road, beginning Sunday, August 6th at 4 p.m. Classes are open to anyone 14 years of age or older. (Please note that 14 year olds must be enrolled in high school to be eligible.) After successful completion of the course you will receive a license which enables you to officiate beginning in September of 2006. Cost is $90.
